Consensus Customer Day Texas took place this week. During the event, our customers got a copy of the book “Scaling Up” by Verne Harnish. We believe that growth powered by the right technology and the right strategy should always be the ultimate goal. That is why we partner with great SMBs like our customers and we help them to scale up their business.
During this event, we spoke about different topics and one of those was the best-selling book “Scaling up”. As mentioned before, we gave a copy of the book to each of our customers, that is why it was very important to explain to our SMBs the different tools and techniques for fast-growing companies teams (from frontline employees to senior executives). Our customers also got a better understanding of the four major decision areas in which every company must get right in the process of scaling up: People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash.

About the book and the author
Verne Harnish is the founder of the world-renowned Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), with over 14,000 members worldwide, and chaired for fifteen years EO’s premiere CEO program, the “Birthing of Giants” held at MIT, a program in which he still teaches today. Founder and CEO of Gazelles, a global executive education and coaching company with over 200 partners on six continents, Verne has spent the past three decades helping companies scale up.
In Scaling Up, Harnish and his team share practical tools and techniques for building an industry-dominating business. These approaches have been honed from over three decades of advising tens of thousands of CEOs and executives and helping them navigate the increasing complexities (and weight) that come with scaling up a venture.
The goal of this book is to help you turn what feels like an anchor into the wind at your back — creating a company where the team is engaged; the customers are doing your marketing, and everyone is making money. To accomplish this, Scaling Up focuses on the four major decision areas every company must get right: People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash. The book includes a series of new one-page tools including the updated One-Page Strategic Plan and the Rockefeller Habits Checklist™, which more than 40,000 firms around the globe have used to scale their companies successfully — many to $1 billion and beyond.
